Healthier home-made chocolate

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at making your own chocolate? It is super easy and fun to make - and the perfect time to try something new before giving Easter gifts to your loved ones! You could try making them without the maple syrup - they’re even tastier!

  • 1/2 cup raw organic cacao powder

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup (rice malt syrup or honey can also be used)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp gelatine powder plus 3 tbsp boiling water (we use nutra organics)

  • 1 pinch salt

Method

Melt coconut oil in a saucepan on low heat, add cacao and stir well.

Add maple syrup, vanilla, gelatine and salt, stirring continuously for 1-2 minutes.

Pour the chocolate mixture into moulds or pour onto a tray lined with baking paper.

Place into freezer for half an hour to set. Try not to enjoy too many 😏
