Beet greens protein smoothie

Beetroot stems & leaves are full of essential nutrients for your body and often go to waste. Adding them into your protein shake can disguise the taste (although the taste is quite nice) while supporting and strengthening your immune system

Ingredients

1 &1/2 liquid of choice (we used unsweetened almond milk)

1 scoop of preferred protein powder (we used True protein vanilla vegan protein powder)

1 scoop trilogy super greens (we used mixed berry)

1 cup beetroot stems & leaves

1 small cooked beet

1/4 cup organic mixed berries

1/2 avocado

1 banana

Method

Mix all ingredients together in a blender and serve

Beet greens which resemble silverbeet, are packed with essential nutrients that support your body’s immune system & help strengthen your bones. An excellent source of potassium which is vital to your heart and digestive tract. Beet greens also contain magnesium - which helps to maintain normal nerve and muscle functions.
